Hotel Marriott Santiago and Courtyard by Marriott Santiago are lining up two Father’s Day 2026 lunches in Santiago for Sunday, June 21, giving families a choice between a buffet-style long lunch and a fixed-price table menu as the holiday coincides with afternoon World Cup matches.
At Café MED, Hotel Marriott Santiago is serving a long lunch built around a buffet by stations. The spread runs from ceviches de reineta, piure and algas, perol de mariscos, ensalada de pulpo and tataki de atún to hot dishes that include lomo vetado al romero, costilla de cerdo a la chilena and caldillo de congrio. There will also be a live station for lomo saltado prepared on site, plus desserts such as tronco de lúcuma manjar nuez, leche asada, lingotes de pistacho, domos de cassis and entremets de tres chocolates. Sergio Ahumada said the idea was to bring together sea and land stations with a gourmet approach, drawing on flavors that connect with memory and Chilean cooking for a family meal that feels relaxed.
The Courtyard by Marriott Santiago option takes a different route. At The Bistro, on the neighboring property’s seventh floor, the hotel is offering a closed menu for tables of four for a total of $55.000. The lunch includes potatoes and ensalada a la chilena, along with one bottle of wine per group and one complimentary beer for the honored father. The venue adds a terrace with a roof, climate control and a view of the Andes, while Javier Dirassar said the idea is for the family to unwind while the kitchen handles the grilling, whether they stay on the terrace for live cooking or move to the indoor lounge to watch football without rushing. The two offerings are aimed at the same Sunday, but they split the day into two very different formats: one open buffet with multiple stations, the other a set menu built for a smaller group. The missing detail is whether either hotel needs advance reservations or has limited capacity, and that is the main practical question left for families planning around June 21.
For Santiago diners, the choice is simple and immediate. One hotel is selling variety and pace; the other is selling a fixed package and a place to watch the match. Either way, Dia Del Padre 2026 in the city is already tied to a lunch table, not a last-minute plan.
