Pennsylvania hunting and trapping licenses for the 2026-27 season go on sale Monday, June 22, 2026, at 8 a.m., giving hunters and trappers a date to circle before the old licenses run out and the new season opens July 1.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission said a general hunting license will cost about $21 for resident adults and about $102 for nonresident adults. Licenses can be bought in person at more than 500 commercial issuing agents statewide or online at huntfish.pa.gov.
The first round of antlerless deer license sales also starts Monday at 8 a.m., but only Pennsylvania residents can buy in that opening round. Later rounds open to both residents and nonresidents at 8 a.m. July 13, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, 2026.
The staggered deer license schedule leaves one practical question unanswered: how many antlerless permits will be available in each round. For hunters trying to lock in plans for the 2026-27 season, the key dates are set, and the first deadline arrives next week.
