Seiko has announced a Fullmetal Alchemist collaboration watch themed around Edward Elric and opened pre-orders in Japan through AMNIBUS, priced at 65,780 JPY.
The watch is a chronograph with a 12-hour counter and a tachymeter bezel built around a black dial bearing Edward's red alchemic transmutation circle. Design touches pile on the references: the Flamel Cross emblem appears prominently, the small seconds sub-dial carries the Amestris military emblem, and the hour markers are modeled on the screws in Edward's automail right arm. At 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock the markers glow luminous green in the dark.
Seiko also placed an unmistakable nod to the series on the caseback — engraved with the line "Don't forget 3. OCT. 11." Packaging has been treated as part of the presentation: the box lid features a matte gold foil Flamel Cross, the watch ships with crimson wrapping paper and a display-ready box bearing both the EDWARD ELRIC and SEIKO logos inside. The box also includes the line, "Stand up and walk. You have two perfectly good legs, don't you?"
The specifics are the weight of the piece for collectors: a branded chronograph with a 12-hour counter, a tachymeter bezel, a dial keyed visually to Edward Elric, and series emblems integrated into both dial and packaging. Those details, combined with the engraved caseback and display box, position the release as a commemorative edition aimed at fans of the franchise.
Fullmetal Alchemist remains a dark fantasy manga franchise with deep, dedicated fandom, and Seiko has a history of producing anime collaboration watches; this release follows that pattern by weaving multiple references to Edward Elric, the Elric brothers and the Amestris military emblem through both the watch and its presentation.
The friction for buyers outside Japan is immediate: the watch has been announced and put up for pre-order only in Japan on AMNIBUS. Seiko has not announced a broader international release, which leaves the work of securing one centered on the Japanese pre-order channel until the company says otherwise.
AMNIBUS lists the watch for pre-order now, with an estimated release in late January 2027. That delivery window is the next confirmed milestone for anyone considering a purchase; beyond it, no official global availability has been confirmed.
For now, the Fullmetal Alchemist Seiko watch exists as a Japan-only commemorative: clear Edward Elric references, a chronograph built with a 12-hour counter and tachymeter bezel, a caseback engraved with "Don't forget 3. OCT. 11.," and a 65,780 JPY price on AMNIBUS with a late January 2027 arrival estimate — and any wider release will depend on Seiko making a separate announcement.
