Telemundo will officially launch its FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage on Thursday, June 11, with all-day, multiplatform programming across Telemundo, Peacock, the Telemundo App and digital platforms, beginning with the Opening Ceremony and Mexico’s tournament opener against South Africa.
The broadcaster says it will carry all 104 World Cup matches live and will deliver more than 700 hours of World Cup programming from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Peacock will stream Telemundo’s Spanish-language coverage of every match live — including Dolby Atmos immersive sound — and is rolling out a new Spanish-language World Cup Hub for this tournament.
The new Peacock World Cup Hub will offer Multiview, Catch Up with Key Plays, Can’t Miss Highlights, Live Picks and Trivia in Spanish for the first time, along with Visión de Campo and Tourney Brackets for select matches. Telemundo will also have on-site production at all 104 matches across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Beyond the match feeds, Telemundo is extending its reach through a partnership with TikTok that brings Telemundo Deportes content into TikTok’s FIFA World Cup hub and includes a Where to Watch promotion directing fans to Peacock and the Telemundo App.
Telemundo will open its broadcast schedule with a primetime special, El Mundial Ya Está Aquí: El Concierto de la FIFA, airing Wednesday, June 10 from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. The June 10 special will be hosted by Carlos Adyan alongside Jessica Carrillo and Lourdes Stephen and serves as a prelude to the network’s full slate starting the next day.
The linear distribution is split: Telemundo will air 92 matches on its main network while Universo will carry 12. Every match, however, will be available to stream live on Peacock and the Telemundo App, which the networks are positioning as the surest way for Spanish‑language viewers in the U.S. to see any game they want.
That split on linear channels creates the only real outstanding operational detail: beyond Mexico’s opener, Telemundo has not published which of the 104 matches will air on Universo versus the Telemundo linear channel. For viewers who cannot wait for a full broadcast schedule, Peacock and the Telemundo App remove uncertainty by offering live streams of every match.
Telemundo’s launch on June 11 starts a six-week run that runs through the final on July 19. For Spanish‑language viewers in the United States who want guaranteed live access to every match, the networks have made Peacock and the Telemundo App the definitive options; fans seeking to watch on linear television should consult local listings as Telemundo has not yet mapped every match between its main channel and Universo.
