Epcot’s Club Cool drops two soda flavors from all machines

Two international beverage flavors have disappeared from at Epcot, and the change appears to affect every self-serve soda machine in the complimentary tasting spot.

A photo posted June 5 by @DisneyScoopGuy showed Royal Wattamelon from the Philippines missing from one dispenser and Country Club Merengue from the Dominican Republic gone from another. In one case, the machine told guests to “please try another flavor.” In the other, the spot that once poured Country Club Merengue now dispenses Beverly from Italy.

The removal matters because Club Cool is one of the few places at Walt World Resort where visitors can sample international drinks for free, and the missing options cut into a lineup that guests follow closely. The two flavors were not just out of one machine; they were removed from all of the soda machines at Club Cool in Epcot, according to the post shared online.

Disney has not publicly said why the drinks are gone, or whether the change is temporary. That leaves guests with a familiar Club Cool question and no official answer: whether Royal Wattamelon and Country Club Merengue are out for days, weeks or for good.

The timing also stands out because Disney has dealt with similar supply problems before. Earlier this year, the company ran into issues with Cucumber Sprite from Russia and with the clear plastic Coca-Cola-branded tasting cups, and those problems appear to have been resolved. In April, Maid Joy Apple Lychee from Korea and Country Club Merengue returned after a short time away, a sign that missing flavors at Club Cool have often come back after a break.

That history is part of the uncertainty now. Most drink flavors at Club Cool have tended to return after a few weeks to several months, but Disney has not confirmed that pattern will hold for the latest removals. For now, the free tasting experience at Epcot is missing two of its international pours, and the company has not said when, or if, they will be back.
