Strongsville’s Town Center Park Summer Concert Series opens June 6, 2026, with Disco Inferno taking the stage at 6 p.m. at Town Center Park, 18300 Zverina Lane. The free show launches a four-month run of live entertainment presented by Strongsville Recreation, and the opening night lineup gives residents a first chance this season to gather at the park with blankets, lawn chairs and food.
Disco Inferno was formed in 1996 by Sonny D. Lite, an original member of the Boogie Knights, and the group bills itself on a set built around songs by The Bee Gees, KC & The Sunshine Band, Earth Wind & Fire, Donna Summer and The Trammps. The band’s performance typically includes more than 20 classic disco tracks, with Sonny D. Lite on vocals, Joey D. Lite on keyboards and Bjorn Z. Free on bass.
The concert series returns after years of community interest in outdoor summer entertainment and is being presented as a revival of a longstanding tradition. Strongsville Recreation says the goal is to build community cohesion, encourage park usage and provide affordable summer activities, a pitch that fits a season when nearby Northeast Ohio communities including Aurora, Westlake and Mentor have also expanded their concert offerings.
More music is already on the calendar. The Diamond Project is scheduled for June 13, and In the Heartland is set for June 27, giving the opening weeks a quick pace before the series settles into its full four-month run. For Strongsville, the immediate test is simple: whether a free night in the park can do what years of planning promised and draw the community back together in one place.
