Summerfest 2026: Generac returns with Power Stage lineup, pit passes and military day

and announced the return of fan experiences and a Military and First Responder Appreciation promotion for , set across three Milwaukee weekends: June 18–20, June 25–27 and July 2–4.

Generac is entering its sixth year as a Summerfest stage sponsor and will present the Generac Power Stage with and , programming Indie, EDM, Alternative, New Wave and Rock artists across the nine-day festival.

The Power Up with Purpose program is back for a fourth year. It lets fans buy pit passes that grant access to that evening’s headliner and the two acts before the headliner on the Generac Power Stage; the program has raised more than $233,000 for nonprofits supporting disaster response and veteran housing and will direct its 2026 effort to ’s Disaster Services program.

ToolBank USA’s Disaster Services program supplies tools and equipment to volunteers responding to disasters and to communities during cleanup, repairs and rebuilding — the specific beneficiary this year of proceeds from pit-pass sales.

Pit passes will be sold daily at noon on-site beginning June 18 while supplies last. Purchases will be handled at the Generac orange shipping container across from the stage using the on-site vending machine, a setup that limits access to those who can be on-site at midday and raises a practical question: organizers have not disclosed how many pit passes will be available each day.

Generac is also presenting Military and First Responder Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 27. Active-duty military members, veterans, police officers, firefighters and EMTs can receive free admission from noon to 6 p.m. with valid ID, and the offer extends to up to four family members.

The Generac Power Stage schedule lists Echo & the Bunnymen and Modern English on June 18; and on June 19; and flipturn with Penelope Road on June 20 for the festival’s opening weekend.

Weekend two on the Power Stage includes Subtronics and Grabbitz on June 25, Elderbrook and Big Wild on June 26, and Wolfmother with King Buffalo on June 27 — the Military and First Responder Appreciation Day.

The festival closes the following weekend with Candlebox and Buckcherry on July 2, Spoon and Ax and the Hatchetmen on July 3, and the BoDeans 40th Anniversary show with The Jayhawks on July 4.

Summerfest 2026 spans three separate weekends in Milwaukee, a format organizers have used before; Generac’s multi-year sponsorship and the multiweek programming keep the Power Stage prominent through the festival’s full run.

What comes next for fans is procedural and immediate: pit passes go on sale on-site at noon starting June 18 each day, and Military and First Responder Appreciation Day is scheduled for June 27 with free admission from noon to 6 p.m. What remains unresolved is a detail that will determine how many fans actually benefit from the pit-pass program — the daily allotment of pit passes was not disclosed when the announcement was made, and that number will decide whether the midday on-site sale grants broad access or only rewards early arrivals.
