Aldi is launching a free Aldi Blind Box giveaway that will put themed grocery bundles in shoppers’ hands every day from June 22 through June 25. The boxes go live at noon ET on AldiBlindBox.com, and each daily drop will be available only while supplies last.
More than 100 boxes will be given away in each drop on a first-come, first-served basis, making the promotion free but far from guaranteed for anyone who waits. Aldi said the boxes will be filled with fan-favorite products and fresh picks from across every aisle, with four themes in all: snack, protein, fiber and a mystery box.
The snack blind box is built around a craveable mix for grazing and other treats. The protein- and fiber-themed boxes lean into health trends, while the mystery blind box includes a smattering of surprise food items. Aldi is using the promotion to push product discovery at the same time it taps into the unboxing craze that has made surprise bundles a social media staple.
Bridget Kozlowski said the Blind Box fits the way shoppers already interact with the chain. “The ALDI Blind Box taps into the excitement our fans already feel walking our aisles,” she said, adding that customers come to Aldi for value and discovery and that the promotion is meant to help them find even more favorites. The giveaway also gives Aldi another reason to keep shoppers checking its Instagram page, where the next theme will be revealed before each drop.
The open question is not whether the promotion will draw interest. It is whether the limited supply will turn a novelty giveaway into a fast-moving race each afternoon.
