Puerto Rican Day Parade 2026 set for June 14 on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan

The 69th annual will step off at noon on Sunday, June 14, 2026, on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, running from 44th Street to 79th Street. The route stretches 35 city blocks and will turn one of New York’s busiest avenues into a long procession of Puerto Rican culture, music and public celebration.

Organizers have set the theme as “We Are More Than 100x35,” also written as “Somos Más Que 100x35,” a nod to the strength and diversity of Puerto Rican communities on the island and across the U.S. diaspora. The parade is expected to feature appearances by and , though the full list of honorees has not been made public.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade began in New York City in 1958 and has grown into the nation’s largest demonstration of cultural pride. Organizers say it was founded on cultural awareness, resilience, pride, unity and education, and that the celebration still rests on activism, freedom and justice while honoring Puerto Rican culture and heritage.

The event carries weight well beyond Manhattan. It honors Puerto Rico’s 3.2 million residents and more than 5.8 million people of Puerto Rican descent living in the United States, with attention to communities on the island and across the mainland diaspora. This year’s celebration is dedicated to Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and the Puerto Rican community of New Jersey.

In the weeks leading up to the parade, organizers will hold related events across New York City, including the 152nd Street Cultural Festival, a parade Mass at and a scholarship gala. For anyone planning to attend, the main date is fixed: June 14, 2026, at noon, when Fifth Avenue once again becomes the parade’s center line.
