Sincere Love Island: Peacock Reveals Initial Cast for Season Eight Premiere

revealed the initial group of Islanders for season eight as the series premiered on June 2 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, kicking off a run that begins with new episodes every day during premiere week.

returns as host for a third time and returns as narrator, anchoring a season that follows one of Peacock’s biggest originals: season seven drew 18.4 billion minutes of watch time over a six‑week run and made Love Island USA the streamer’s most‑watched original series.

The streamer said new episodes will air daily during premiere week, then move to a regular schedule of Thursdays through Tuesdays, with returning every Saturday starting June 13. Viewers will again be able to vote for their favorite couples through the Love Island USA app.

The first Islanders introduced for season eight are Aniya Harvey, 23, of Tyrone, Georgia; Beatriz Hatz, 25, a Paralympic athlete from San Diego, California; Bryce Dettloff, 29, a DJ from Los Angeles; KC Chandler, 23, a nursing assistant from Fresno, California; Kenzie Annis, 24, a nursing school graduate from Kennesaw, Georgia; Melanie Moreno, 24, a manager at a bikini store from Los Angeles; and , 29, a police officer from Easton, Pennsylvania — a choice that prompted local comment when the mayor of Bethlehem said Reifel quit his cop job for the reality show and observed, "I never thought I’d see the day in America where reality show participation wins out over being a police officer."

Love Island’s format — single Islanders coupling up in a Fijian villa, facing challenges, temptations and periodic bombshell arrivals — remains intact, and Peacock described the franchise as a cultural phenomenon over the last two years. Season seven ended with and Bryan Arenales crowned winners; Olandria Carthen and Nicolas Vansteenberghe, Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley, and Iris Kendall and Jose “Pepe” Garcia‑Gonzalez were the other finalists.

Peacock has asked fans to "keep it kind, keep it positive" on social media even as the show deploys the usual bombshell twists and competitive format that push couples into high‑drama choices. The plea is part of the rollout even as producers signal that more Islanders and surprise arrivals will join the villa after opening night.

The initial seven set season eight’s starting lineup, but they are only the first act: Peacock and the show’s producers will add more Islanders and bombshells across the coming weeks, with Aftersun installments starting June 13 offering the first regular spot for recaps and reactions. For viewers, the story to watch is who arrives next — and which new pairings will shift the leaderboard as daily viewing in week one gives way to the Thursday‑through‑Tuesday rhythm that will carry the season forward.
