Francisco Bolívar: Fabián Ríos asks fans to pray as Jota appears recast

On May 20, posted a public message on Facebook asking fans to pray for his co-star , calling him "mi nene" and begging for support while Bolívar’s status with the series remains unclear.

Ríos moved from affection to appeal in the post, explicitly asking the public to join him in prayer: "Hoy, humildemente, les pido que, si juntos oramos por mi nene Panchito, Dios pronto lo tendrá de vuelta y mucho más fuerte que siempre." He closed with a blessing and a personal pledge: "Que Dios los bendiga, pero hoy clamo a Dios para que me bendiga especialmente a mi Panchito hermoso" and "Pase lo que pase, siempre serás mi nene, mi ‘brother’, mi amigo. Te amo y punto."

The plea lands against a complicated timeline for the show. Francisco Bolívar has interpreted the character Jota since 2008 and reportedly announced in January 2026 that he was returning to the franchise. The new season of Sin senos sí hay paraíso is being filmed in Colombia, but recent images from the yet-to-air episodes show the character Jota portrayed by , making Bolívar’s absence visible on screen.

The production has also endured violence this spring: in April, two crew members died after an attack on the set in Bogotá, Colombia. That incident has left the shoot under strain as it continues in the country.

Reports in attributed to have said Bolívar left the series for supposed mental health problems. That claim has not been officially confirmed or denied by production or by Bolívar’s representatives, and Ríos’s post did not mention a diagnosis; it framed the matter as a personal difficulty and asked followers to offer prayers and goodwill.

The tension in the story is straightforward: a longtime cast member whom colleagues publicly defend is not visible in new footage and has reportedly been replaced on camera, while secondhand reports attribute his exit to mental health issues that neither production nor the actor’s team have confirmed. Ríos's plea is the clearest public comment by a co-star; beyond that, the set is moving forward with new footage and a replacement for Jota.

For viewers and colleagues, the immediate question is whether Bolívar will return to the role he has played since 2008. The facts on hand — Ríos’s May 20 appeal, the January announcement of Bolívar’s planned return, the images showing David Trejos as Jota, and the unverified report that Bolívar left for mental health reasons — point to an unresolved situation. Until the production or Bolívar’s representatives issue a clear statement, the only supported conclusion is that Bolívar’s condition and his status with Sin senos sí hay paraíso remain unconfirmed while filming continues with Trejos in the part.
