Ex-TOWIE Star Discovered Dead in Drainage Ditch | ITV News
Jordan Wright, 33, was found dead in Phuket province on 14 March. He lived in Stanford-le-Hope, near Basildon.
Circumstances of discovery
Local authorities located his body in a drainage ditch off Bang Thao 2 Alley. The site is in Choeng Thale sub-district, Thalang district, Phuket province.
ITV News coverage noted the ex-TOWIE star was discovered dead in a drainage ditch while spending time in Thailand. Court coordinator Matthew Austin told the inquest Wright had been visiting the country.
Repatriation and examination
Wright was flown back to Essex after his death was confirmed. A post-mortem took place at Basildon Hospital.
Toxicology results are awaited to establish the cause of death. Officials have not yet released a final medical determination.
Inquest proceedings
Essex senior coroner Lincoln Brookes opened the inquest in Chelmsford. He then adjourned the matter until a full hearing on 14 September.
The coroner expressed condolences to Wright’s family and friends. The formal inquiry will consider all available evidence.

Wright previously worked as a firefighter. He later appeared on The Only Way is Essex for one season in 2018.
He also featured on MTV’s Ex on the Beach. Tributes appeared under his final Instagram post, including from former castmate Chloe Brockett.
