Trump Refuses to Extend Ceasefire with Iran
Washington, April 21. President Donald Trump told CNBC he would not extend a ceasefire.
Trump’s stance
Trump refuses to prolong the truce and said time was limited. He argued the United States holds a strong negotiating position and will win favorable terms.
Diplomatic talks in Pakistan
U.S. officials said they were confident talks would go ahead in Pakistan. A senior Iranian official said Tehran was considering joining the planned discussions.
Military warning
Trump warned the United States would resume attacks if no deal materialized soon. He told CNBC he expected to “be bombing” and said the military is raring to go.
