Crimson Desert Enhances Gameplay with New Female Character Creation Mod

Crimson Desert, an open-world fantasy game developed by Pearl Abyss, recently gained attention for its new character modification options. This popular game initially restricted players to the male hero, Kliff, without any opportunity for extensive character customization.

Introduction of Female Character Creation Mod

A newly launched “Character Creator – Female” mod available on Nexus Mods significantly enhances gameplay. This mod allows players to create a female character, offering an impressive array of customization options. It features:

98 different face presets
159 different hairstyles

Once the mod is installed on PC, customization options can be accessed by visiting the barber in the Greymane settlement, which players can unlock throughout the game. Additionally, armor adjustments ensure a better fit for female characters. Gamers can enhance their experience by pairing it with the Kliff Female Voice mod for a complete transformation.

Future Enhancements and Community Engagement

The modding community plans to expand these features further. Upcoming updates may include:

Crimson Desert already includes sections where players can experience gameplay as the female character, Damiane. However, some creators have developed alternate mods that allow for a more permanent switch from Kliff to Damiane. Caution is advised, as some of these mods contain not-safe-for-work elements.

Many fans have questioned the absence of character customization at the game’s launch. The decision stands in stark contrast to Pearl Abyss’s previous title, Black Desert Online, renowned for its robust character creation features. Critics of Crimson Desert have highlighted that while it boasts a vast world and various MMO-like activities, it lacks significant character depth and charm.
