Google Gemini AI Enhances Q&A with 3D Models and Simulations
Google has unveiled a significant enhancement to its Gemini AI, enabling the chatbot to generate interactive 3D models and simulations. This update is designed to improve the user experience by allowing for increased interactivity in question-and-answer scenarios.
Interactive 3D Models and Simulations
The new feature allows users to engage with AI-generated simulations in real-time. Users can rotate models, manipulate sliders, and input values to observe changes instantly.
Real-World Applications
During a trial of the new feature, I requested a simulation of the Moon’s orbit around Earth. Gemini produced a responsive 3D model that offered various interaction options.
- Adjust orbit speed using a slider.
- Toggle the visibility of the orbital path.
- Pause the simulation at any moment.
- Zoom in and rotate the 3D model freely.
Accessing the Feature
All users of the Gemini app can access this exciting feature. To do so, select the “Pro” model available in the prompt bar.
Once selected, simply ask questions such as, “show me a double pendulum,” or “help me visualize the Doppler effect.” After receiving a response, click on the “Show me the visualization” button to explore the interactive 3D model.
This upgrade positions Google Gemini AI as a leader in integrating advanced technology for educational and professional purposes, making complex concepts more understandable through interactivity.
