Seahawks Fans Celebrate Enhanced Sounder Train Service for NFC Championship Game
Seattle sports fans can rejoice as Sound Transit has announced enhanced Sounder train service for the Seahawks’ NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. This added service will make travel easier amid ongoing highway construction.
Special Sounder Train Schedule for the NFC Championship Game
On game day, Sunday, fans will have access to expanded transit options, including special Sounder train rides. The Seahawks’ game is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Lumen Field.
Inbound Train Services
- Two inbound Sounder S Line trains from South King and Pierce counties will operate.
- The first train departs Lakewood at 11:51 a.m., stopping at S Line stations and arriving at King Street Station by 1:07 p.m.
- A second train leaves Lakewood at 12:11 p.m., making all stops and arriving at 1:27 p.m.
- For fans from Snohomish County, an inbound Sounder N Line train will leave Everett at 12:45 p.m., stopping in Mukilteo and Edmonds, and arriving at 1:44 p.m.
Return Train Services
- After the game, two return S Line trains to Lakewood will depart about 10 minutes post-final whistle or when full.
- A later train will leave approximately 45 minutes after the game concludes.
- The return N Line train to Everett will depart around 45 minutes after the game.
Link Light Rail Operations
In addition to Sounder trains, the Link light rail service will run every 10 minutes across the weekend. It connects 23 stations, including key downtown stops near Lumen Field.
New Stations Enhancing Accessibility
- New 1 Line stations in South King County—Kent Des Moines, Star Lake, and Federal Way Downtown—opened last month.
- These stations collectively provide over 3,100 parking stalls for fans using park-and-ride services.
Parking Availability
Parking is readily available at all Sounder stations, ensuring convenience for those driving to the game. However, officials advise arriving early to secure a spot, especially for major events when spaces can fill rapidly.
Additional Transit Options
Local bus agencies also support many Sounder and Link stations, providing further connections to park-and-ride facilities. For a complete schedule of Sounder service for Seahawks games, visit Filmogaz.com.
