Chipotle Mexican Grill will run its first-ever Matchday BOGO on June 11, valid after 3 p.m. local time at restaurants across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Fans who show up wearing a soccer jersey can get a buy-one-get-one free entrée for that single afternoon and evening.
The offer comes with clear limits: up to five free entrées per check, each free item must be redeemed with the purchase of an entrée of equal or greater value, and the free item may be collected only by the guest wearing the jersey. Chipotle sets the clock—June 11 after 3 p.m.—and the deal runs only that day and only that late in the afternoon.
The Matchday BOGO is pitched as a matchday ritual: Stephanie Perdue, a company representative, said the firm wanted to recognize the moments fans tie to big games. "Every four years, this tournament creates an unmatched sense of excitement, pride and community among fans around the world," Perdue said, adding that Chipotle wanted to celebrate "wearing lucky jerseys" and gathering for matchday meals.
Alongside the one-day BOGO, Chipotle is releasing a limited-edition soccer jersey inspired by global soccer culture and streetwear. The front reads "Real Chipotle" and the back carries the number 53, a nod to the number of ingredients the chain lists. Only 53 of those jerseys will be made available through the Chipotle Rewards Exchange: U.S. loyalty members can exchange 10 points for a chance to win between June 10 and June 24, with winners receiving jerseys ahead of the tournament final.
The promotion is broad in geography but narrow in execution, and that creates friction for fans and managers alike. It spans three countries yet applies for a single post-3 p.m. window and requires the entrant to be wearing a jersey; it is also explicitly "subject to availability." Chipotle did not disclose how many customers it expects to redeem the Matchday BOGO, a gap that will determine whether restaurants face a crush of redemptions or manage it smoothly.
Practical rules are straightforward and matter to anyone planning to participate: the free item requires the purchase of an entrée of equal or greater value; restaurants will honor up to five free entrées per check; and the guest in the jersey must be the one to collect the free item. Chipotle Rewards members who take part in the Matchday BOGO and scan their Rewards at the register will unlock an exclusive digital badge through the company's "Rewards on Repeat" program—another incentive for loyalty users to scan and track their purchases.
Chipotle frames the offer as part of a longer history of soccer support. Since launching its fundraiser program in 2015 the company says it has supported more than 14,000 soccer fundraisers and contributed over $3.5 million; in 2025 alone it backed nearly 1,500 local soccer fundraisers and donated more than $225,000. The Matchday BOGO follows the chain's recent jersey promotions—most notably a Hockey Jersey BOGO earlier this year that the company described as its most successful jersey-themed offer.
The next concrete dates to watch are June 10–24, when Rewards members can spend 10 points for a chance at one of 53 jerseys, and June 11 after 3 p.m., when the Matchday BOGO goes live. The immediate question left open by the announcement is operational: with the offer limited to a single post-3 p.m. window and labeled subject to availability, how many redemptions will restaurants see—and will that number shape whether Chipotle returns to this format in future match windows?
