Fans Demand Gemma Collins Exit After ‘Rude’ Comment on I’m A Celebrity

Tensions flared on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa when the two camps reunited on April 9, 2026. Gemma Collins joined Adam Thomas, Seann Walsh and Beverley Callard as they left Savannah Scrub.

Heated exchange on arrival

On arrival, Sinitta immediately questioned Gemma about a planned role in the musical Chicago. She said the casting announcement had surprised her. Gemma answered that an injury and insurance issues prevented her participation.

Gemma also said she had auditioned, completed training and worked with a voice coach. The pair then clashed over perceptions of Gemma’s screen persona.

Comments and comeback

Sinitta suggested she had assumed the casting news was a joke. She also referenced a past awards-show tumble and described Gemma as a natural comic.

Gemma pushed back, arguing she would not have been cast as Mama Morton without passing the audition. She later told producers in the Bush Telegraph she felt upset by the remarks.

Camp reaction

Other campmates watched the exchange in disbelief. Scarlett Moffatt hid in her hammock and mouthed her confusion to Seann Walsh.

Viewer response on X

Online viewers reacted swiftly. Many branded Sinitta’s remarks rude and called for action.

  • Some demanded Sinitta be removed from the show.
  • Others suggested both Sinitta and David Haye should leave.
  • A number of fans expressed concern that Sinitta felt threatened by Gemma’s arrival.

Fans demand visible consequences after the ‘rude’ comment. Several posts even urged a Gemma Collins exit, arguing she had been unfairly criticised.
