IU Basketball Roster 2026-27: Ristic Marks Fourth Transfer Portal Entry

The 2026-27 IU basketball roster is shaping up, following a season of transitions and challenges. Under head coach Darian DeVries, the team wrapped up the previous season with an 18-14 record, finishing 10th in the Big Ten conference with a 9-11 performance. Notably, IU basketball missed the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year, with its last appearance occurring in 2023 under former coach Mike Woodson.

Confirmed Roster and Departures

As of now, only four players are confirmed for the next season. The following key players will not be returning:

  • Tucker DeVries
  • Lamar Wilkerson
  • Tayton Conerway
  • Conor Enright
  • Reed Bailey
  • Sam Alexis

These six players comprised a significant part of the team’s scoring from last season.

Returning Player

Trent Sisley is the sole confirmed returnee. During his freshman year, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game over 13.1 minutes. If Nick Dorn does not return, Sisley is poised to become the leading scorer for the Hoosiers next season.

Transfer Portal Activity

The transfer portal opened recently, and IU has already seen movement among its players. As of April 8, the following players have announced their intent to transfer:

  • Jason Drake
  • Jasai Miles
  • Josh Harris
  • Aleksa Ristic

Drake was the first to declare on April 1, followed by Miles and Harris on April 6, and Ristic on April 7. The deadline for entering the portal is April 21.

Players with Remaining Eligibility

Two players, Nick Dorn and Andrej Acimovic, have eligibility left beyond this season:

  • Nick Dorn: After playing two years at Elon and one season at Indiana, Dorn remains a potential key player, having shot 38 percent from three-point range last season.
  • Andrej Acimovic: A Bosnian center who redshirted last year, Acimovic has four years of eligibility remaining.

Incoming Freshmen

The Hoosiers are also set to add three incoming freshmen to their roster:

  • Prince-Alexander Moody (guard)
  • Vaughn Karvala (wing)
  • Trevor Manhertz (wing)

Moody and Karvala have officially signed, while Manhertz’s commitment is expected to be announced this spring. Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked among the top 20 nationally.

Looking Ahead

As the spring progresses, IU basketball will continue to adjust its roster for the 2026-27 season. Given the current state of the team, there is significant anticipation regarding how the updated roster will take shape, particularly with the potential influx of transfers and fresh high school talent.
