Conor Benn Addresses Regis Prograis Injury Reports Ahead of Fight
Conor Benn and Regis Prograis meet in a 150lb catchweight bout this Saturday. The fight is the co-main event on the Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov card at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Benn responds to injury reports
Rumours surfaced last week claiming Prograis was badly injured and might withdraw. Benn addressed those injury reports ahead of the fight, saying the matter will not alter his preparation or expectation. He told Filmogaz.com that whether Prograis is hurt is not his concern. Benn added that an injury would be an unwise decision if the opponent still chooses to compete.
Recent form and weight plans
Benn returns after two heated fights with Chris Eubank Jr in 2025. Eubank won the first encounter. In the rematch, Benn scored a knockdown and took a dominant unanimous decision.
Both Eubank contests were fought at 160lbs. Benn is now moving back toward the welterweight ranks. This catchweight is the first step in that shift.
Card and broadcast information
The event will be shown live on Netflix. The card also features a British heavyweight title fight between Jeamie TKV and Richard Riakporhe. Another heavyweight matchup sees Justis Huni face Frazer Clarke.
