Terrion Arnold tied to Florida robbery and kidnapping in court order
Detroit Lions cornerback terrion arnold is named in a Hillsborough County court order that links him to an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping in Tampa after an Airbnb he had rented in Largo was burglarized twice, the order says.
Court order details the alleged plot
Judge J. Logan Murphy filed a seven-page order on Feb. 24 granting the state’s request to hold Boakai Eugene Hilton, 23, without bond. Hilton faces three counts of kidnapping to harm or terrorize and three counts of robbery with a firearm — each charged as a first-degree felony punishable by life in prison — and has pleaded not guilty. Murphy wrote that evidence presented at the pretrial detention hearing shows Hilton “orchestrates the ambush” while traveling with others back from Tallahassee, and that the alleged attack was carried out in retaliation for the burglaries of the Largo rental.
Terrion Arnold appears in judge’s findings
The order says the Largo Airbnb rented by Arnold was burglarized twice, with the thefts totaling $100, 000 in cash, an $80, 000 necklace, designer bags and an NFL-issued cellphone. Online court and police records indicate Arnold, 22, has not been arrested or charged. The judge wrote that Arnold suspected his hired private driver, Yan Lopez, of being involved in the burglaries and that Arnold and his friends “decided to take matters into their own hands. ”
What victims and messages describe
Murphy’s order lays out a sequence in which Jasmine Randazzo allegedly lured Daniel Tenesaca to an apartment and Arianna Del Valle — identified in the order as Arnold’s girlfriend — instructed Randazzo to act as bait with the promise of payment from Arnold and his friends. Tenesaca arrived with Soljah Anderson while Lopez waited in a car. When Tenesaca opened a bedroom closet, Lyndell Hudson and Christion Williams allegedly confronted him at gunpoint.
The order says the victims were held in a bedroom for about an hour, interrogated, beaten and pistol-whipped. Lopez later entered the apartment, was pistol-whipped, taken to the bedroom and had the barrel of a firearm placed in his mouth while a co-defendant demanded the return of the stolen property and Arnold’s phone. Before the victims were released, their phones and wallets were taken. The order states there is no evidence the victims were involved in the Airbnb theft.
Text messages, FaceTime and a named plan
Murphy wrote that text messages and a group chat show Hilton appearing to orchestrate the attack: asking whether a co-defendant had a gun, instructing Del Valle to video the encounter on FaceTime so he could see and hear what was happening, and directing co-defendants to seize the victims’ phones and keep them in a bedroom corner until “terrion [a]nd Boakai [Hilton] and Fredo” arrived at the apartment complex. The court order says one of the victims later identified Hilton as he arrived and was escorted out.
Lions, lawyer statements and Arnold’s status
The Lions said they could not comment on an ongoing legal matter. R. Timothy Jansen, a lawyer for Arnold, said: “To be clear, Mr. Arnold had no involvement whatsoever in the activities that led to those arrests. He did not participate in, nor was he present for, any conduct related to the alleged offenses. There is no evidence in police reports, text messages, or witness statements that implicates Mr. Arnold in any way. ” Jansen also said the court order incorrectly identified Arianna Del Valle as Arnold’s girlfriend.
Law enforcement records say Arnold called a Largo police station at 10 p. m. on Feb. 3 to file a report about the stolen money and items. The alleged robbery and kidnapping of Daniel Tenesaca, Soljah Anderson and Yan Lopez took place about two hours later on Feb. 4 in Tampa.
Where this leaves the case
The judge’s order granted pretrial detention for Hilton and outlined the allegations and evidence the state presented at the Feb. 24 hearing. It is unclear in the provided context what the next court date or further scheduled proceedings are.
