Collins Sichenje Joins Charlton Athletic
Charlton Athletic has completed the signing of Collins Sichenje, a Kenyan international defender, from FK Vojvodina. Sichenje, aged 22, has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the club, marking him as the seventh addition during the current transfer window.
Collins Sichenje’s Career Background
Before joining Charlton, Sichenje began his professional career with Green Commandos. He moved to Kenyan Premier League’s AFC Leopards in September 2019. After a short stint in Greece with PAOK B, Sichenje returned to AFC Leopards.
In 2022, he signed with AIK, a team in Sweden’s top division. Most recently, he played for Finnish club KuPS Kuopio on loan throughout the 2023/24 season. Following his impressive performances, Sichenje joined FK Vojvodina on an initial loan that became permanent in September 2024.
International Experience
On the international stage, Collins Sichenje has represented Kenya in eight matches. He made his debut in March 2021, contributing to a 1-0 victory over South Sudan.
