Quinton de Kock has made history in the T20 format by setting a new record for South Africa’s all-time T20 run-scoring. This achievement took place during the second T20I against the West Indies at SuperSport Park in Centurion on January 29. With a phenomenal 43-ball century, de Kock surpassed Faf du Plessis to climb atop South Africa’s all-time T20 scores.
Record-Breaking Performance
De Kock’s whirlwind innings contributed significantly to South Africa’s dominant seven-wicket victory. He now boasts an impressive tally of 12,113 runs from 430 T20 matches, maintaining a batting average of 31.46 and a strike rate of 139.10. This remarkable performance also highlights his readiness for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
