New Arc Raiders Augment Enhances Dying Experience
Embark Studios has released the latest patch for Arc Raiders, titled the “Headwinds” update. This update introduces two new augments, significantly enhancing the gameplay experience. Included are features that cater to player requests and improve overall mechanics.
New Augments: Enhancements Explained
The standout addition is the Looting Mk.3 (Safekeeper) augment. It allows players to store any item, including rare weapons, in a special safe pocket. Weapons like the Bettina, Vulcano, and Aphelion can be safely kept, ensuring they are not lost upon death. However, this feature limits the storage of larger weapons, focusing instead on smaller items.
The second augment is the Tactical Mk. 3 (Revival). This augment shares a passive effect with the previous Combat Mk. 2, restoring one health point every five seconds. Additionally, it comes equipped with a reusable defibrillator. Players should note that this defibrillator has a four-minute cooldown, preventing its overuse during combat.
Additional Features in the Update
- New Matchmaking Option: A “Solo vs Squads” feature allows solo players to compete against full squads, offering a +20% bonus XP for all successful extractions.
- Trophy Display Project: This ongoing project rewards 300,000 coins, a howl emote, and a guitar for completion, with blueprints available for individual steps.
- Permanent Map Update: The “Bird City” condition in the Buried City map will feature more flying arc enemies and increased player presence.
- Leaper Enhancements: Leapers have been adjusted for better mobility after losing legs, although details on this change remain unclear.
- Weapon Finding Rates: The likelihood of discovering high-tier weapons in cases has been improved, while finding unique parts from queen and matriarch armor has been made slightly harder.
- Map Adjustments: The music puzzle in Buried City is removed, with guitars now purchasable from Shani in Speranza. Fixes include resolving out-of-bounds glitches in Stella Montis.
- Streaming and Cheating Updates: Streamers now face a matchmaking delay to reduce targeting, and a three-strike progressive ban system is being implemented for cheaters, leading to longer bans for repeat offenders.
The “Headwinds” update aims to enhance the gameplay in Arc Raiders significantly. By integrating these new augments and features, players can expect a more engaging and dynamic experience.
