Two Men Dead, Woman Critical After NSW River Drowning

Two men have tragically died, and a woman is in critical condition following a drowning incident in New South Wales. The event occurred on the Never Never River near Gleniffer, approximately nine kilometers north of Bellingen.

Emergency services responded to a call at 6:45 PM yesterday. Reports indicated multiple individuals were struggling in the water. Upon arrival, responders discovered three people: a woman and two men, all believed to be in their 30s.

Victims Identified

• The two men were retrieved from the river but unfortunately could not be revived.
• The woman was also rescued and received immediate treatment at the scene.
• She was subsequently transported to Coffs Harbour Health Campus, where she is currently in serious condition.

Investigation Underway

A crime scene has been established to facilitate the investigation. Authorities will prepare a report for the coroner regarding the incident.
