The #23 Gamota BMW claimed pole position on Saturday. David Jahn set a time of 8m09.488s to secure the top spot.
The #3 Winward Mercedes had initially qualified sixth. After a stewards’ probe it received a three-place grid penalty and now starts ninth.

The first qualifier begins at 16:30 BST. The race will run for four hours.
Formula 1 is on a break in April following the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds. Verstappen used the gap to enter the double-header of qualifier races this weekend.
