Tragic Fatality as Driver Dies in N24 Qualifiers Race 1 Crash
A weekend qualifying race at the Nürburgring ended with a tragic fatality. The incident happened during Race 1 of the N24 Qualifiers.
Incident details
ADAC said a serious crash involved seven participants at the start. Several vehicles collided, and race control immediately halted the event.
Recovery and rescue teams responded at once. Emergency services extricated one driver from his car.
Medical response
Paramedics attempted resuscitation, but the driver died at the medical center. Six other drivers were taken to the medical centre and nearby hospitals for checks.
ADAC confirmed none of the injured are in life-threatening condition. Organisers announced the race would not restart on Saturday evening.
Victim
The deceased was identified as Juha Miettinen, aged 66. He was competing in a BMW entered by Keeevin Motorsport GmbH.
Miettinen had raced at the Nürburgring since 2018. His death follows a high-profile crash during the N24 Qualifiers weekend.

ADAC said officials will hold a minute of silence at the starting grid announcement on Sunday at 1 p.m. The organisation expressed condolences to Miettinen’s family.
