Meet Translucent’s Son Maverick on The Boys and Gen V
Nicholas Hamilton has become a familiar voice and presence in the Boys universe. He plays Maverick, Translucent’s son, in Prime Video’s Gen V. The role highlights his knack for playing complex young characters.
Casting and the Gen V role
Gen V premiered in 2023 as a spin-off of The Boys. The series follows students at Godolkin University and expands the main show’s mythology.
Maverick is the invisible son of Translucent, a former member of The Seven. Translucent was played by Alex Hassell and died in The Boys season 2. That death came when Serge, aka Frenchie, played by Tomer Capone, detonated a bomb.
The character briefly appeared in The Boys season 2, played by Charles Altow. In Gen V, Hamilton portrays Maverick during his university years. The character enrolls at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting and develops a romantic subplot with Sloane, who is notably represented as an alpaca on screen.
