Register or Update Voting Details by April 20 for Upcoming Election

Bulloch County will hold a General Primary and Non-Partisan Election on May 19, 2026. Voters must act soon to meet registration and update deadlines.

Key dates

  • April 20 — Last day to Register or Update Voting Details by April 20 for Upcoming Election. This includes name and address changes.
  • April 27–May 15 — Early in-person voting at the Bulloch County Annex Elections Office.
  • May 2 and May 9 — Saturday early voting, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • May 8 — Final day to request an absentee ballot.
  • May 19 — Election Day.

Confirm registration on the Georgia My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov. You may also call the Bulloch County Elections office at 912-764-6502 for help.

Changes to name or address must be completed by April 20. Missing the deadline could prevent you from voting in May.

How to register

You can register online through the Georgia Secretary of State’s voter registration system. Online registration requires a Georgia driver license or DDS ID with a signature on file.

Mail and in-person options remain available. Download the postage-paid application, or visit the county elections office to submit your form.

Applications must be postmarked or delivered by April 20. Your registration is not final until the application is approved.

Where to register in person

The Bulloch County Elections Office is in the North Main Annex. The address is 113 N Main St., Suite 201, Statesboro, GA 30458.

If you do not receive registration acknowledgement within four weeks, contact the local office.

Early voting and absentee ballots

Early in-person voting runs April 27 through May 15. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Two Saturday sessions occur on May 2 and May 9, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The absentee request deadline is May 8.

The May ballot includes both partisan and nonpartisan contests. Voters may select one of three ballot types in May.

Partisan contests

  • U.S. Senate
  • U.S. House, District 12
  • Governor
  • Lieutenant Governor
  • Secretary of State
  • Attorney General
  • Commissioner of Agriculture
  • Commissioner of Insurance
  • State School Superintendent
  • Commissioner of Labor
  • Public Service Commissioner, Districts 3 and 5
  • State Senator, District 4
  • State House Representative, Districts 158, 159, and 160
  • Bulloch County Commissioner, Districts 1B, 2B, and 2D

Nonpartisan contests

  • Justices of the Supreme Court of Georgia
  • Georgia Court of Appeals judges
  • State Court judge
  • Bulloch County Board of Education, Districts 2, 4, 5, and 6

Ballot choices and runoff rules

In May, choose a Democratic, Republican, or Nonpartisan ballot. Your May choice generally determines the June runoff ballot.

Voting nonpartisan in May still allows selection of a party ballot in a June runoff. Nonpartisan contests appear on both party ballots.

Board of Education contests appear only if you live in the listed BOE district. If no BOE contest appears, that district voted in May 2024.
