Ariana Grande Faces Off with Ben Stiller in Focker-In-Law Trailer
Universal released the first trailer today for the new Meet the Parents sequel. Ariana Grande appears as Olivia Jones opposite Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
She plays Olivia Jones, a former FBI hostage negotiator and Henry Focker’s potential bride. John Hamburg wrote and directed the film.
Trailer highlights
The Focker-In-Law trailer opens with Jack Byrnes, a retired CIA agent and Vietnam veteran, administering a lie detector. He asks whether her love for Henry is genuine and what she thinks of the family.
Olivia rarely falters in the clip. She even wins the guard dog’s approval and earns Jack’s grudging respect.

The movie continues the Meet the Parents series. It follows Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Little Fockers (2010).

Release and studio
Focker-In-Law is set to premiere on November 26, Thanksgiving. Universal will distribute the film.
Ariana Grande’s other projects
Universal also released Wicked and Wicked: For Good, both of which star Grande as Glinda. The first Wicked earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 97th Academy Awards.
She performed at that ceremony with Cynthia Erivo. Grande has not released a new album since 2024’s Eternal Sunshine.
She will embark on her first tour since 2019 this July and August across North America and the UK. Tour dates span cities in both regions.
