Nissan Unveils Disruptive All-Electric Juke
Nissan is preparing a fresh, all-electric version of the Juke. The model borrows core EV engineering while offering a distinct driving character.
Driving dynamics and powertrain
The electric Juke is tuned for agility and sharper handling. Nissan says it will feel more nimble than the Leaf on the road.
It will use the Leaf’s three-in-one power unit. That unit combines motor, inverter and gearbox into one assembly.
Output will be reduced compared with some C-segment crossover ratings. Nissan expects lower figures than the 174bhp and 215bhp options.
Body, packaging and interior space
The EV Juke sits on a different platform and has a revised body-in-white. Those changes alter its proportions compared with the Mk2 petrol and hybrid models.
As a result, the cabin gains extra room. The electric architecture frees up packaging, improving overall practicality.
Technology and connectivity
The new Juke adopts the Leaf’s twin 14.3-inch driver display and central touchscreen. The infotainment runs Google software for native services.
It will support over-the-air updates to keep systems current. Google Maps integration helps plan journeys and reduce unnecessary charging stops.
