First Look: Mikey Madison Leads Sony’s ‘The Social Reckoning’
Sony unveiled a first look at Aaron Sorkin’s new film during its CinemaCon presentation. The footage previews a dramatic thriller rooted in real events.
Origins and premise
The film serves as a companion piece to The Social Network. It shifts from legal drama to a tension-filled thriller.
Its story draws on the Wall Street Journal’s 2021 exposé, known as “The Facebook Files.”
The plot follows Frances Haugen, portrayed by Mikey Madison. She enlists Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, played by Jeremy Allen White.
