Rory McIlroy shot a 73 in the third round and entered the final day of the Masters tied for the lead. The tournament could see him become the fourth player to win back-to-back titles at Augusta National.

The third round was a rollercoaster for McIlroy. He sits level with the lead as the final round begins.

McIlroy teed off with Cameron Young at about 2:25 p.m. on Sunday. Tens of thousands of spectators are expected at Augusta National.

Support network in attendance

Family and close supporters filled the galleries. His parents, Rosie and Gerry McIlroy, are at Augusta this year.

They did not attend his first Masters victory. This appearance marks their return to the tournament for him.

McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll share a daughter, Poppy. She was born on August 31, 2020 and is five years old.

Erica Stoll — background and career

Stoll is from western New York. She and McIlroy married on April 22, 2017.

He proposed in Paris and the couple wed at Ashford Castle in Ireland. Stoll earned a marketing degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

She formerly worked for the PGA. Her roles included transport official, office manager, and manager of championship volunteer operations.
