Glen Powell’s ‘Comeback King’ Seeks Extras in Savannah

A new film starring Glen Powell and directed by Judd Apatow has begun work in southeast Georgia. Casting calls are open for local extras and stand-ins across Savannah, Claxton and Macon.

Casting opportunities

Catrett Casting & Associates is handling background casting for the project. Roles target a wide range of ages and experience levels.

Children roles

Producers seek children ages 6 to 17 of all ethnicities to play charity event attendees. Filming takes place April 20 and April 21 in Savannah.

Pay is $120 for an eight-hour day.

Vehicle background roles

Adults 18 and older who own pickup trucks, SUVs or cars may apply. Those roles film April 30 and May 1 in Claxton.

Rate is $182 for a 12-hour day, plus a $35 vehicle bump.

Stand-ins

Producers also need experienced stand-ins for scheduled shoots. One role requests a Greek male between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9.

Filming for that stand-in runs May 7 through June 17 in Savannah and Macon. A separate stand-in call targets an Asian male of similar height.

That role covers multiple dates from April through June across both cities. Stand-ins will be paid $196 for a 12-hour day.

Applicants must complete a role-specific form to be considered. Newcomers must also register with the casting database.
