“Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha Sentenced to 15 Years for Matthew Perry’s Drug Death”

A California court has sentenced Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” to 15 years in prison for her role in the drug-related death of actor Matthew Perry. The sentencing occurred on Wednesday, marking a significant moment in a harrowing case involving a network of drug suppliers.

The Circumstances of Matthew Perry’s Death

Matthew Perry, the beloved star of “Friends,” was found unresponsive in his luxury Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. He was 54 years old at the time of his passing. Perry had openly battled addiction for many years but seemed to be overcoming his struggles prior to his death. His sudden demise triggered an extensive police investigation, revealing a web of suppliers and enablers connected to his drug use.

Jasveen Sangha’s Involvement

Jasveen Sangha, aged 42, was one of five individuals charged in relation to Perry’s death. A dual citizen of the United States and Britain, Sangha was apprehended in August 2024 and has remained in federal custody since then. She collaborated with middleman Erik Fleming to supply 51 vials of ketamine to Perry’s personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.

The Supply Chain

Perry was reportedly injected with ketamine multiple times, culminating in the fatal doses administered by Iwamasa. Prosecutors revealed that since Perry was battling addiction, he paid an exorbitant price of over $2,000 for each vial of the substance. In contrast, Sangha and her associates purchased the drug for significantly less.

  • Dr. Salvador Plasencia: Admitted to distributing ketamine and received a 30-month sentence.
  • Dr. Mark Chavez: Confined to home and ordered to complete community service.

Aftermath and Repercussions

Following Perry’s death, Sangha attempted to erase her involvement by instructing Fleming to delete their communications. A search of her residence in North Hollywood uncovered not only ketamine but also various other illegal substances, including methamphetamine, ecstasy, cocaine, and counterfeit Xanax pills. Law enforcement also seized tools such as a money counting machine and devices meant for detecting surveillance.

Sangha’s sentencing reflects the serious consequences of drug trafficking and its tragic impact on lives, as highlighted by the loss of a beloved actor and the profound grief felt by fans worldwide.
