2XKO 1.1.5 Update: Akali Balances, Local Duos Mode, and More Changes
Riot Games has announced a significant update for the fighting game 2XKO, rolling out Version 1.1.5 on April 7, 2026. This patch introduces Akali, a new champion, alongside a requested feature: Local Duos mode. Players can now team up with friends on the same device, enhancing the multiplayer experience.
Akali Joins the Roster
Akali, known as the Rogue Assassin, enters 2XKO on April 7. Players can purchase her for 1,000 KO Points, one Champion Token, or through the Ultra Battle Pass bundle. Additionally, Akali can be unlocked for free via a Champion Recruitment Event lasting three weeks. After this promotional period, she will be available for 10,000 Credits.
New Local Duos Mode
The new Local Duos mode will also become available on April 7 across all platforms. This feature allows players with a second controller to join their friends online without needing separate setups. Key features of Local Duos include:
- Duo’s chosen champion contributes to account Champion Mastery and missions.
- Increased account experience and Credits rewards per match—doubled when playing Local Duos.
Event: Spirit Blossom
A new in-game event, Spirit Blossom, will be live from April 9 to April 30, 2026. Players can complete missions to earn unique rewards, including:
- Spirit Blossom avatar outfit (6 items)
- Spirit Blossom emote
- Spirit Blossom sticker
- Spirit Blossom player titles – “In Full Bloom” and “Best Bud”
Gameplay and Balance Changes
This patch also updates various gameplay mechanics. Key adjustments involve balance changes to several champions:
- Buffs: Blitzcrank, Caitlyn, Jinx
- Nerfs: Ahri, Braum, Vi, Ekko
Additionally, system mechanics have been refined, including:
- Handshakes and parry mechanics have been updated to improve gameplay fairness.
- Combo meter gains have been adjusted to favor shorter combos over lengthy ones.
Replay Options Enhancement
The replay system is receiving improvements, allowing players to pause and access a menu of viewing options during match replays. This feature will enhance the ability to analyze gameplay through better hitbox and input data displays.
Bug Fixes and Minor Adjustments
