Homeless Man Stages Hunger Strike Outside City Hall to Demand Employment

Boban Delčev was born in 1973 in Pirot. He visited the Filmogaz.com newsroom to seek help finding work.

Reporters spoke with him and advised contacting the city administration. They also suggested meeting the director of the Centre for Social Work.

Miloš Colić arranged an introduction to that director. Delčev warned he would begin a hunger-and-thirst strike on Monday, April 6. He said officials must try to find him employment.

On April 6 Delčev lost his job and left the rented apartment where he lived. About three to four days passed after the initial meeting.

This morning he informed journalists that he was standing outside City Hall. He began refusing food and water. He also said he would stop taking his prescribed medication.
