Halsey Stuns in Gothic Glam Black Lace Dress at “Our Hero, Balthazar” Premiere
Halsey arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of Our Hero, Balthazar at the AMC in Glendale on Friday. She embraced a gothic glam look in a black lace dress from New York label Sea.
Outfit details
The dress was a polyester seersucker midi with a plunging neckline. Delicate scalloped lace trimmed the neckline and continued beneath the bust.
Cap sleeves provided structure at the shoulders. The skirt fell relaxed and grazed her calves.
Accessories and styling
She wore black suede pointed-toe pumps and skipped a necklace to keep the neckline uncluttered. Small silver drop earrings and a black beaded bracelet finished the ensemble.
A bright red lip provided contrast to the all-black outfit. Halsey’s signature pixie haircut reinforced the gothic glam tone.
Designer context
Sea, a New York-based label, created the look. Other contemporary brands like Zadig & Voltaire, A.L.C. and Rumored also offer similar black lace dresses.
Support on the carpet
Halsey attended to support her fiancé, Avan Jogia, who stars as Supes in the film. Jogia wore a double-breasted gray suit over a graphic tee and black dress shoes.
Jogia recently appeared in the film 56 Days. The couple posed together and spoke with attendees on the carpet.
The film and cast
Directed by Oscar Boyson, Our Hero, Balthazar premiered nationally on March 27. The story centers on a wealthy New York teenager who posts about gun violence online.
He becomes involved with a Texas teen threatening a school shooting, believing he can prevent the act. Cast members Noah Centineo, Pippa Knowles, Asa Butterfield and Jaeden Martell also attended the premiere.
