National Security Talk Engages Naples Audience
Veteran Marine aviator Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath (Ret.) will be the featured speaker at the Center for Critical Thinking’s 20th anniversary gala. The evening centers on U.S. foreign policy and its wider consequences.

The dinner and discussion takes place Tuesday, April 14 at Vineyards Country Club. The address is 400 Vineyards Boulevard in Naples.
Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., with the Dine & Discuss from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $80 and require an RSVP through Eventbrite.

The program is titled “America at a Crossroad: Power, Principles & Global Consequences.” Speakers will examine recent crises in Venezuela, Iran and the broader Middle East, and the war in Ukraine.
Panelists will assess effects on U.S. security, economic stability, and democratic institutions. The discussion aims to connect policy choices to long-term global outcomes.
About Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath (Ret.)
McGrath graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and holds a master’s in Global Security from Johns Hopkins. She served 24 years on active duty.
She flew as an F/A-18 fighter pilot and weapons systems officer. McGrath completed three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and became the first woman in the Marine Corps to fly a combat mission.
Her Pentagon and Capitol Hill assignments included a Congressional Fellowship advising the House Armed Services Committee. She also served as the Marine Corps liaison to the State Department.
McGrath finished her military career as a senior political science instructor at the U.S. Naval Academy. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
She founded Honor Bound, Inc., a 501(c)(4) organization that supports women veterans pursuing elected office. McGrath also hosts the national security podcast “Truth in the Barrel.”
