Connor Storrie Wears Diamond Choker After Hosting SNL, Presents at Actor Awards

The Heated Rivalry breakout star wore a sharp black Saint Laurent suit — described as a plunging, double-breasted blazer with high, structured shoulders, inky trousers and glossy shoes — and added little silver hoop earrings, a kinky diamond choker from Tiffany & Co. and a diamond-studded watch. Coverage of the night also described his outfit elsewhere as an oversized black suit paired with a diamond necklace, and one write-up opened with the line "That’s not Connie, baby, that’s Ilya Rozanov. "
Less than 24 hours after hosting SNL
Storrie, 26, had hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time on Feb. 28 with Mumford & Sons as the musical act and then walked the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on March 1, telling reporters he got "Barely any" sleep. On SNL he delivered an opening monologue in which he said, "In two weeks I had to learn how to [speak] Russian, look like I knew how to play hockey, " and noted he watched the Olympics and worried he hadn’t played it off. Men's hockey players Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes and women's players Megan Keller and Hilary Knight joined him onstage for the sketch; Hilary joked about President Donald Trump laughing about inviting the women’s team to the White House, and Megan said, "Yeah, we thought we’d give them a little moment to shine. "
He presented and followed prior award appearances
Although Storrie was not nominated at the Actor Awards, he took the stage as a presenter on March 1, having previously presented at the 2026 Golden Globes alongside his Heated Rivalry costar Hudson Williams. He also announced the nominations for the 2026 Actor Awards on Jan. 7 at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s screening room in Los Angeles alongside Janelle James.
Why Heated Rivalry missed awards consideration
Heated Rivalry was not nominated in the 2026 awards season because the series was not submitted for consideration. The show was produced and financed solely by the Canadian company Crave, which made it a foreign production; for U. S. awards a series must have been coproduced with a U. S. partner. HBO Max acted only as the U. S. distributor after production finished. It is expected that for future seasons the series may change to a coproduction structure to allow for U. S. awards eligibility.

The ceremony crowned Michael B. Jordan Best Actor at the 2026 Actor Awards.
