Less Than 24 Hours After SNL

On March 1 at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, when Keltie Knight called out, "Connor, how much sleep did you get last night?" the 26-year-old replied, "Barely any. " Storrie had hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time ever on Feb. 28, with musical guest Mumford & Sons, and then stepped out to present at the Actor Awards the next day.

SNL Monologue And Onstage Guests

During his opening monologue on the Feb. 28 sketch, Connor Storrie earned laughs when he referenced his role on Heated Rivalry: "In two weeks I had to learn how to [speak] Russian, look like I knew how to play hockey, " he said, "and then I’m watching the Olympics and I see these amazing players and I’m like, ‘I don’t think I played it off. '" Shortly after, men's hockey stars Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes and women's teammates Megan Keller and Hilary Knight joined him onstage. Hilary joked, "It was gonna be just us, but we thought we’d invite the guys, too, " while Megan added, "Yeah, we thought we’d give them a little moment to shine. " The monologue moment followed his Feb. 28 hosting duty and preceded his March 1 appearance at the Actor Awards.

Presenter Role And Award Season Timeline

Connor Storrie was not nominated at the 2026 Actor Awards, but he was taking the stage as a presenter that night. Earlier in the season he had acted as a presenter at the 2026 Golden Globes alongside costar Hudson Williams. Storrie also announced the nominations for the 2026 Actor Awards—formerly the Screen Actors' Guild Awards—on January 7 at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s screening room in Los Angeles, alongside Janelle James.

Why "Heated Rivalry" Wasn’t Eligible

Heated Rivalry was not nominated during the 2026 awards season primarily because the show was not submitted for consideration. The series was produced and financed solely by Canadian company Crave, making it a foreign production; for U. S. awards, a series must have been coproduced with a U. S. partner. HBO Max acted as the U. S. distributor only after production was finished. It is expected that for future seasons the series may change to a coproduction structure to allow for U. S. awards eligibility.
