Connor Storrie Turns Up at Actor Awards Less Than 24 Hours After Hosting SNL
Connor Storrie arrived at the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles on March 1 less than 24 hours after making his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, and his quick turnaround underscored both his packed schedule and a striking red-carpet moment. The 26-year-old, who is presenting at the ceremony, paired a Saint Laurent suit with Tiffany & Co. jewels as Kristen Bell returned to host the awards for a second consecutive year.
Connor Storrie’s SNL-to-Actor Awards turnaround (Feb. 28–March 1)
Storrie hosted Saturday Night Live on Feb. 28—his first time in that role—and stepped onto the Actor Awards red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on March 1. When E! News' Keltie Knight asked how much sleep he had, Storrie, 26, answered plainly: "Barely any. " Less than 24 hours separated his SNL opening monologue and his presenter duties at the ceremony the next day, a scheduling squeeze he acknowledged on the carpet.
SNL monologue and Team USA hockey onstage
On the Feb. 28 SNL episode, Storrie opened with a monologue that referenced his work on Heated Rivalry—joking that in two weeks he had to learn how to speak Russian and look like he knew how to play hockey—and later invited Team USA hockey players onstage. Men's players Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes joined the women’s team members Megan Keller and Hilary Knight for a staged bit. Knight quipped that they thought they would "invite the guys, too, " a line delivered in the context of jokes about a White House visit; the segment included a reference to President Donald Trump and his public reaction to inviting the women’s team. The musical guest that night was Mumford & Sons.
Saint Laurent suit, Tiffany & Co. choker and other accessories
On the March 1 red carpet Storrie wore a sharp black suit from Saint Laurent—he is now an ambassador for the house—described both as an oversized black suit and as a plunging, double-breasted blazer with high, structured shoulders paired with inky trousers and glossy shoes. He accessorized with little silver hoop earrings, a kinky diamond choker from Tiffany & Co., and a diamond-studded watch; coverage also described him wearing a diamond necklace while arriving at the ceremony. The combination of tailoring and jewelry was singled out throughout the evening.
Presenter role, Golden Globes link and nomination duties
Although Storrie was not nominated at the 2026 Actor Awards, he was onstage as a presenter. Earlier in the awards season he presented at the 2026 Golden Globes alongside his Heated Rivalry costar Hudson Williams, and he helped announce the Actor Awards nominations on January 7 at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s screening room in Los Angeles with Janelle James.
Why Heated Rivalry was not nominated and the Crave production status
Heated Rivalry was not entered into contention for U. S. awards this season because the series was not submitted for consideration. The series was produced and financed solely by the Canadian company Crave, which rendered it a foreign production for awards purposes. U. S. awards eligibility requires that a series be coproduced with a U. S. partner; HBO Max served as the U. S. distributor only after production was finished. It is expected that future seasons may adopt a coproduction structure to pursue U. S. awards eligibility.
