Euromillions draw on Friday 27 February leaves no jackpot winner as tens of thousands collect smaller prizes

The Friday 27 February Euromillions draw produced no outright jackpot winner, triggering substantial lower-tier payouts across Ireland and the UK. The absence of a top prize means many players claimed smaller wins, including more than 69, 000 prize-winners in Ireland.

Euromillions numbers and Lucky Stars

The main Euromillions draw produced the numbers 14, 24, 27, 39 and 42, with Lucky Stars 6 and 10. Those figures determine the distribution of the top-tier prizes for the night; matching all five main numbers plus the two Lucky Stars is required to claim the jackpot.

€159, 922, 317 jackpot and £139m estimate

There was no outright winner of the €159, 922, 317 jackpot on offer in the EuroMillions draw. Reporting ahead of and around the draw also cited an estimated UK jackpot of £139m for the same event. The two currency figures were published alongside the draw results for Friday 27 February.

Irish winners, EuroMillions Plus and Ireland Only Raffle

In Ireland, 103 players picked up wins in the thousands after the main draw. Two Irish players matched four of the five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars and each won €1, 015. The EuroMillions Plus draw produced no winner of its €500, 000 top prize, but 91 players won €2, 000 each by matching four of the five Plus numbers: 6, 7, 10, 15 and 27.

The Ireland Only Raffle delivered ten prizes of €5, 000 each after winning raffle tickets were drawn. Overall, more than 69, 000 players across Ireland collected prizes in Friday night’s EuroMillions and Plus draws. The National Lottery urged players to check their numbers carefully; a National Lottery spokesperson noted there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot and reiterated the scale of Irish prize claims.

Millionaire Maker HGVX32794 and Thunderball result

The Millionaire Maker guaranteed one UK winner of £1m and the winning code published was HGVX32794, creating one UK millionaire. The Thunderball draw, held earlier in the evening, produced the winning numbers 11, 34, 16, 29 and 26.

Prize tiers, ticket rules and draw schedule

Players aiming for the £139m estimate needed to match all five main numbers plus the two Lucky Stars. Lesser combinations carried set payouts: matching five numbers and one Lucky Star returned £130, 554. 30, while matching five numbers without a Lucky Star returned £13, 561. 20.

Tickets for the Friday draw were available until 7: 30pm local UK time, with the Thunderball played around 8pm and the main Euromillions draw at about 8: 30pm. A single Euromillions ticket cost £2. 50. The draw schedule continues with Euromillions held every Tuesday and Friday; a Lotto draw runs every Wednesday and Saturday; and the Set For Life draw occurs every Monday and Thursday.

Because no player matched every required ball and both Lucky Stars, the top prize rolled or remained unclaimed and payouts shifted to lower prize tiers, producing thousands of winners across multiple categories. What makes this notable is the scale of smaller prizes paid out in a single national market — over 69, 000 Irish prize-winners — alongside the creation of a UK millionaire through the Millionaire Maker.
