Igor Komarov: Dismembered Remains, Ransom Video and Arrests in Bali Case
A circulated online video and the discovery of dismembered remains have intensified an investigation into the apparent abduction of ukrainian man igor komarov. Bali authorities have launched island-wide operations, made multiple arrests and begun DNA testing as the case draws scrutiny over alleged fraud, ransom demands and cross-border movement of a captive.
Circulated video uploaded 21 February 2026 shows Igor Komarovsky pleading
A video uploaded on 21 February 2026 and attributed to the account @MyLordBebo runs for more than three minutes and shows a shirtless man identified in the footage as Igor Komarovsky. In the recording the man is weeping, has two black eyes and a heavily bandaged left hand, and asks his family to "return" US$10 million. The man in the video says he has been mutilated, that his ribs were broken, that he was drugged, and that his kidnapper will cut off his arm if the demanded money is not paid. He also says he has already been taken to another country where he is being held captive.
Account claim and online post by Mario Nawfal (Nawful) that Komarovsky is beyond reach
The social media posting is tied in an online post to a Lebanese businessman identified as Mario Nawfal, with one spelling appearing as Nawful. In that post Nawful said Komarovsky is beyond the reach of the police or of Oleksandr Petrovsky’s alleged mafia associates. The narration accompanying the uploaded video includes an accusation that the kidnappers claim the family stole money, a claim linked in the post to online fraud.
Ransom demand and alleged call-center fraud tied to the US$10 million figure
The attackers in the footage demand US$10 million for the captive’s release. The narration and other materials shared online accuse the family of taking money originally obtained through an online scam call center. Some reports suggest the sought-after US$10 million is held at a fraudulent call center where scammers target and extort money from Russian nationals.
Family connections: Oleksandr “Narik” Petrovsky and sibling Ermak Petrovsky
The man in the video is presented as the son of an alleged Ukrainian organized crime figure named Oleksandr "Narik" Petrovsky. The circulated material names the captive as Igor Komarovsky and elsewhere renders the name as Igor Komarov and Igor Komarvsky. Prior to the abduction, the video and posts say Igor had been staying in Bali with a sibling, Ermak Petrovsky, who is believed to have managed to escape the kidnappers during the incident in which his brother disappeared. The uploaded footage includes a claim that Igor had already divulged his father’s criminal extortion activities to his kidnappers.
Image link, speculation of revenge and the suspect tracking method
Investigators and commentators tied the kidnapping to an image uploaded to the internet that shows Eva Mishalova with Komarovsky sharing Valentine’s Day on a boat in Bali; the group that kidnapped Komarovsky is suspected of having tracked him down using that image. Mario Nawfal speculated in his online remarks that the kidnapping was done as an act of revenge by a group of Russian or Chechnya criminals seeking to avenge the alleged theft of money by Oleksandr Petrovsky.
Police response: island-wide alert, searches in Sarbagita and DNA tests after arrests
Bali Police Headquarters launched an island-wide alert on Saturday evening, 21 February 2026, that included coordinated roadblocks and vehicle inspections on major highways and at inter-provincial and inter-regional border crossings. Searches were concentrated on the Sarbagita Area of Bali—Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan. Authorities have arrested six foreign nationals in connection with the case, and dismembered remains found on a Bali beach are being subjected to DNA tests to establish whether they belong to the kidnapped man. Investigators are also examining whether social media posts were used to track the victim.
