Bridgerton tribute: Who were Tony Cooper and Nicholas Braimbridge?

The Season 4 finale carried a closing dedication to tony cooper and Nicholas Braimbridge, honoring two behind-the-scenes crew members whose work helped shape the shows — and, in Braimbridge’s case, prompting a fundraising effort to support his family after his death in May 2025.

Where the tribute appeared

The final episode displayed a dedication reading “In Loving Memory of Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper” during the closing credits; another account notes the message ran ahead of the post-credits scene in the episode. The second batch of season four episodes arrived on Netflix on February 26, and the entirety of Season 4 is now available for streaming.

Nicholas Braimbridge’s work and the GoFundMe

Nicholas Braimbridge worked as a scenic artist on both Bridgerton and the spinoff Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, creating finishes for the grand interiors seen across the franchise. Production designer Alison Gartshore set up a GoFundMe in his honor to help support his family after his death in May 2025; the fundraising page is still active and aims to support Braimbridge’s daughters.

Gartshore wrote at the time that “Nick Braimbridge was a hugely talented Scenic Artist, who very sadly passed away last week. ” She described him as an expert faux finisher known for his marbling and wood grain finishes, with knowledge built up over years working with top-end interior designers and later within film and TV. Gartshore recalled she had worked closely with Nick, calling him an integral part of the art department team and “a delightful, charming, funny man — a true gent. ” She added that everyone who met him loved him and that the team were very upset by his passing.

Gartshore also said that Braimbridge had lost his wife to cancer just before Christmas this year and that he leaves behind two teenage daughters, Flora and Amelia.

Tony Cooper’s role on set

Tony Cooper served as a unit driver, transporting cast, crew, equipment and props to filming locations for Bridgerton and for the Queen Charlotte spinoff. His role was to ensure people and materials reached set every day, supporting the productions’ logistics.

Cooper’s credits extend beyond the Bridgerton universe. He is listed as having driven on projects including The Crown, The Batman, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Black Widow, and other accounts add the Mission: Impossible franchise and the Downton Abbey movies to that list, among others. His time and cause of death have not been publicly shared.

How colleagues remembered them

Braimbridge’s colleagues and the production team described him as a beloved member of the art department whose craftsmanship contributed to the show’s signature period elegance. Gartshore’s remarks emphasize both his technical skill and how warmly he was regarded by those who worked with him.

The tribute in the Season 4 finale places both men in the credits’ moment of remembrance as the series closes its latest episodes. Season 4, Part 2 is streaming now, and the GoFundMe established by Alison Gartshore for Nicholas Braimbridge’s family remains active.
