TransPerth Expands Travel Options for Ed Sheeran Concert in Perth
TransPerth is enhancing travel options for fans attending Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Perth. Sheeran will perform at Optus Stadium for two nights this weekend, as part of his Loop Tour.
Extra Public Transport Services
To facilitate easy access, TransPerth will offer additional public transport services. Ticket holders are fortunate to receive free public transport valid for three hours before and after the concerts.
- Additional trains will serve the Armadale and Thornlie-Cockburn lines.
- Direct services on the Yanchep and Mandurah lines will be available before and after each concert.
- The Fremantle line will provide direct service only after the shows.
- Replacement buses will operate between Midland and Bassendean stations due to a partial line shutdown, with train services resuming from Bassendean onwards.
Suburban Event Bus Network
The Suburban Event Bus Network will operate from 4 PM to 7 PM on both nights. Additionally, services will extend for 45 minutes after the concerts conclude. The Red CAT bus will also be available to transport concertgoers from West Perth through Perth CBD to Matagarup Bridge.
Managing Traffic Concerns
Anticipation is high, with Frontier Touring expecting over 55,000 attendees on each night. Given this, Main Roads WA has cautioned drivers about potential congestion in the vicinity.

Ed Sheeran’s Perth concerts will feature support acts including local talents Vance Joy and Mia Wray, as well as the Irish all-female group BIIRD. Following the shows in Perth, Sheeran will head to Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne for three performances each. His Australian tour will culminate in Adelaide on March 5.
