Kirby Air Riders 1.3.0 Update Released: Check Patch Notes
The latest update for Kirby Air Riders, version 1.3.0, has been officially launched. This new patch introduces several significant features and numerous balance adjustments aimed at enhancing gameplay.
New Features in Version 1.3.0
- The ability to play online with two players using the same system in quick matches and paddocks.
- Amiibo functionality is now available, allowing players to race with figure players (FPs) after scanning them in the paddock.
- Players can now practice courses solo in Online Matches during matchmaking.
- In the City Trial mode, players can explore Skyah once matched with at least one participant.
- It is now possible to change the playback position of video replays in the Spectate menu.
Gameplay and Matchmaking Updates
Additionally, several quality-of-life changes were made:
- Penalty imposed for leaving mid-matchmaking during test-course screens.
- Replay videos uploaded by players will now play randomly in the paddock.
- Local Play is selectable through Online Match without requiring an internet connection.
- Version number visibility has been added to the lower-right corner of the pause menu during Free Run and Time Attack modes.
Balance Adjustments
This update also addresses performance adjustments for riders and machines:
- Rick: Adjusted HP, defense lowered, and power of “Rip-Roaring Rick Special” decreased.
- All machines: Reduced backlash when hitting walls with Quick Spin and modified high-speed wall interaction.
- Star-type machines: Defense values increased for City Trial mode.
- Tank-type machines: Improved defense growth rates for enhanced durability.
- Bike-type and Chariot-type machines: Adjusted defense growth rates, which are now lower.
Specific Machine Adjustments
Here are some notable machine changes:
- Warp Star: Strengthened deceleration upon wall contact.
- Slick Star: Boosted top speed growth rate.
- Battle Chariot: Top speed growth rate decreased.
Bug Fixes
Numerous bug fixes were also implemented in this patch, improving overall game performance:
- Enhanced communication stability during online play.
- Fixed numerous issues impacting match progression and task completions.
- Resolved glitches with timer progression in specific modes.
- Addressed problems preventing the appearance of machines in the City Trial offline mode.
