Google Unveils Gemini Feature to Simplify Meeting Scheduling

Google has introduced a new feature called Gemini, designed to enhance meeting scheduling through Google Calendar. This tool aims to simplify the process of finding suitable meeting times by analyzing the availability of attendees.

How the Gemini Feature Works

To utilize Gemini, users can select the “Suggested times” option while creating a meeting. The feature will automatically evaluate the calendars of all attendees to identify potential conflicts.

Once the analysis is complete, users will receive a list of recommended time slots for the meeting. If the proposed times are unsuitable and multiple attendees decline the invitation, rescheduling is straightforward. The event organizer can view a new time when all participants are free and update the meeting invite accordingly.

Requirements for Using Gemini

  • Attendees must have their calendars accessible to the meeting organizer.
  • Available only for Google Workspace Business (Standard and Plus) and Enterprise (Standard and Plus) plans.
  • Also accessible to users with the Google AI Pro for Education add-on.

Availability of the Feature

The Gemini feature is currently available on Rapid Release domains, with a scheduled rollout for other domains beginning on February 2.

This innovation reflects Google’s commitment to improving productivity tools for users. By implementing Gemini, scheduling meetings becomes more efficient and convenient, making it easier for teams to collaborate effectively.
