Metro-East Schools Announce E-Learning and Snow Days for Monday
In response to a severe winter storm, several school districts in the Metro-East area have implemented e-learning days or traditional snow days for Monday. Anticipating challenging weather, many schools communicated their plans via social media ahead of the weekend.
The storm led to significant snowfall across southwestern Illinois, with accumulations ranging from 6 to 11 inches reported by the National Weather Service. On Monday morning, temperatures are anticipated to plunge to minus 5 degrees, accompanied by wind chills between minus 15 and minus 20 degrees.
