Jannik Sinner Reveals New Wellness Program as Explora Journey Climbs Booking Ranks

Jannik Sinner, renowned tennis champion and four-time Grand Slam winner, recently unveiled a new wellness program designed for passengers of Explora Journeys. As the brand ambassador for the luxury cruise line, Sinner hosted a session discussing the program together with key representatives from Explora Journeys.

New Wellness Program: In Balance

The wellness initiative, titled “In Balance: A Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Programme,” encompasses various sectors of health and fitness. It includes:

  • Mindful movement
  • Therapeutic breathwork
  • Targeted recovery techniques
  • Restorative contrast therapies

Sinner highlighted that the program is designed not just for athletes, but for everyone seeking to enhance their wellness. He explained, “There’s a fitness program as well as breathwork and recovery.” His aim was to create a versatile program that can benefit a wide audience.

Importance of Breathwork in Performance

In his discussion, Sinner emphasized the crucial role of breathwork in maintaining focus and energy, particularly during high-pressure moments in matches. “I believe that with breathing, you can recover so much energy and also focus for your day,” he stated. The recovery program works alongside the fitness regimen to support participants’ overall well-being.

Explora Journeys and Australian Market Growth

Nicole Constantin, Vice President and Head of Sales for Australasia & APAC at Explora Journeys, acknowledged the increasing demand for wellness offerings among cruise enthusiasts. She noted the remarkable growth of the Australian market for their luxury line.

“Wellness has become a priority for many cruisers,” Constantin explained. “We have over 700 square meters dedicated to wellness on our ships.” This focus is expected to flourish with the introduction of the new ships, Explorer III and IV, which will offer even more spacious wellness facilities.

  • Explorer I and II: 700+ square meters for wellness services
  • Explorer III and IV: Enhanced wellness space

Despite Australia’s geographical distance, the market has become a pivotal contributor to Explora Journeys, marking itself as the fourth largest market for the brand. Popular cruise destinations include Europe and the Western Mediterranean, with an emerging interest in Northern Europe from Australian travelers.

Luxury Experience on Board

Constantin further elaborated on Explora’s distinguishing features, comparing it to a luxury boutique hotel experience. “Our operations resemble a hotel, offering a premium service on a majestic ship,” she elaborated. The brand caters to a younger demographic, appealing to working professionals in their low 50s.

Explora Journeys aims to provide a unique cruise experience, moving away from traditional themes such as white nights and formal captain’s dinners, differentiating themselves in the competitive luxury cruise market.
